The DK 8 model is able to house 8 test tubes of 250 ml with the diameter of 42 mm. The digester has a very compact size, while allowing to save precious space on the lab bench.
The digester DK 8 is made up of a aluminum heating block that offers excellent thermal homogeneity, with a maximum working temperature of 450 °C.
The block’s temperature is controlled by dedicated microprocessor electronics. The temperature probe does not require calibration since the electronic automatic calibrates the device every time is turned on. All of this makes it possible to obtain excellent test precision and repeatability.
The digester DK 8 is provided with a wide range of options (temperature selections, programmable permanence time, “continuous” working mode availability) and with a visualization display which allows to set the desired values and to monitor the digestion progress.
In compliance with GLP (Good Laboratory Practice), the data referring to the tests being run can be sent to a printer or PC for storage.
The digester DK 8 has a very compact size (with 25% less the width of all previous models) aimed to meet the most demanding laboratories needs in terms of space saving. DK 8 has a special tube and fume hood support system able to help cool the samples, make their treatment safer and save space.
In order to neutralize the fumes produced during the digestion, DK 8 should be combined with a proper aspiration pump and fumes neutralization system. VELP suggests the use of the DK 8 in combination with the JP pump and the SMS scrubber.
